This page is how you agree to get informational texts from Rumor Technology about a call or an appointment: a missed-call text-back, a booking confirmation, or a reminder. The program does not send marketing texts.

A. Web opt-in form

The form below is the public opt-in. The checkbox starts unchecked, and you can submit the form without checking it. Nothing you type on this example is sent or stored. A live form that saves a signup will use this same consent text.

How the form works

• The checkbox is unchecked by default and optional. The form can be submitted without it.
• The consent text sits next to the checkbox, not only in a linked document.
• The SMS Terms and Privacy Policy links are on the form, and both pages are public.
• This checkbox is for informational texts only. Marketing texts, if we ever send them, would need a separate unchecked checkbox and a separate program.
• When a signup is stored, we keep the timestamp, IP address, phone number, page URL, consent text version, and language.

C. Voice opt-in script

Verbal consent is used for informational messages only, not for marketing. We send a text only after the caller agrees. A missed-call text to someone who never agreed is not part of this program. The assistant asks for consent during the call. People who text the number first may get replies to those messages.

Call-opening disclosure (all calls):

• EN: "Thanks for calling. This call is answered by an AI assistant from Rumor Technology and is recorded for quality and scheduling. By staying on the line, you consent to this. To speak with a person, say 'representative' at any time."
• ES: "Gracias por llamar. Esta llamada es atendida por un asistente de inteligencia artificial de Rumor Technology y se graba para fines de calidad y programación de citas. Al permanecer en la línea, usted da su consentimiento. Para hablar con una persona, diga 'representante' en cualquier momento."

If the caller says no, or does not answer, no text is sent.

Opt-out words include STOP in English, PARAR, ALTO, and CANCELAR in Spanish, and PARAR, SAIR, and CANCELAR in Portuguese. Help words include HELP, AYUDA, and AJUDA. After you opt out, we send one confirmation, and then messages stop.

H. Campaign description (how people opt in)

End users opt in in two ways. (1) Voice: callers reach the Rumor Technology AI Front Desk. The assistant says it is an AI assistant and that the call is recorded. It then asks: "Can we text you at this number about your call and appointment, such as a booking confirmation and reminders, from Rumor Technology? Message frequency varies, and message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help. Is that okay?" Texts are sent only if the caller says yes.
