SMS Terms & Conditions

These SMS Terms & Conditions ("SMS Terms") govern the text message program operated by Rumor Technology, Inc. ("Rumor Technology," "we," "us") through our AI Front Desk service, on behalf of the business you contacted that uses the service ("the Business").
1. Program Name
Rumor Technology (the "Program").
2. Program Description
When you call a business that uses the Rumor Technology AI Front Desk and agree to receive texts (by voice on the call or on our web opt-in form), you may receive informational (non-marketing) text messages about your call or appointment, including:
- missed-call text-backs: a text sent after a call that wasn't completed, so you can continue the conversation or book a time;
- booking confirmations for appointments you scheduled;
- appointment reminders and updates, such as a reschedule, cancellation, or technician arrival window; and
- replies to questions you send us by text.
Messages may be sent in English, Spanish, or Portuguese, based on the language you used. The Program does not send marketing or promotional messages. Consent to receive texts is not a condition of purchasing any goods or services.
Message frequency varies. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out. Reply HELP for help. Mobile information is not shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
Messages are sent from the phone number shown on the text you receive. Use that same number for STOP and HELP.
3. Message Frequency
Message frequency varies based on your calls and appointments. You will usually receive 1 to 5 messages per call or appointment.
4. Cost
Msg & data rates may apply. Check your mobile plan for details. Rumor Technology does not charge for the Program.
5. How to Opt Out (STOP)
You can cancel at any time. Reply STOP to opt out. Text STOP to the number that messages you. You may also reply END, CANCEL, UNSUBSCRIBE, QUIT, STOPALL, REVOKE, or OPTOUT (Spanish: PARAR, ALTO, CANCELAR; Portuguese: PARAR, SAIR, CANCELAR). After you send STOP, we will send one message confirming that you have been unsubscribed, and you will receive no further messages from the Program. We will also honor opt-out requests made by other reasonable means, such as telling the AI assistant or a staff member on a call or emailing info@rumortechnology.com. To rejoin, reply START or UNSTOP, or opt in again.

7. Carrier Disclaimer
Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Delivery depends on your wireless carrier and is not guaranteed.
8. Eligibility and Your Number
By opting in, you confirm that you are the account holder or authorized user of the mobile number you provided and that you are 18 or older. If you change or give up your number, please reply STOP from that number or notify us first.
9. Privacy
Your information is handled as described in our Privacy Policy: https://rumortechnology.com/privacy-policy.html. Mobile information is not shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. We do not share or sell mobile numbers or SMS opt-in data to third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
10. Changes
We may update these SMS Terms. We will post changes on this page with a new effective date. We may stop or change the Program at any time.
